Finally we get something to cheer about, worth waiting for too, and we score 4 of the goals, so cant be bad, still no Morrison though! weird as he is not injured.

PALACE: Speroni, Butterfield, Hudson, Cort, Craig, Soares,
Fletcher, Watson, Green (Freedman 55), Scowcroft
(Idrizaj 86), Dickov (Hughes 83).

Subs Not Used: Flinders, Lawrence

The Team really looked like they wanted to win today, Watson and Fletcher held the midfield forcing Utd to play hoof ball.

James Beattie appeared to have grabbed a point for Sheffield United
with a nice lob before super Ben Watson Fired home from the penalty spot to cap a
remarkable second half which started with an own goal from Palace defender Mark Hudson.

It was in the 48th minute as Hudson attempted to
clear a Utd cross from the right, but he slammed it into the roof of his own net.

Earlier goals from Tom Soares and Carl Fletcher appeared
to have put Taylor at ease, but the og from Hudson and James Beatties strike must of aged Taylor, thinking here we go again, the smile must of come back on his face when watson scored the Pen.

Taylor told the official site, ‘I was quite happy with way we played in the 1st half although we
didn’t create enough chances but then started the 2nd half giving a goal away which I will have a look at on the video but I am sure I will not enjoy that viewing. We showed tremendous character and the players showed great quality and produced a very different second
half which all the supporters will have enjoyed.’.

‘Dougie has done exceptionally well in our last two games but we all know that he is very threatening when he comes off the bench as he is a fresh player facing tired defenders. He is a lethal weapon when he can get straight into the game and that is what he was today.

‘I would normally have the hump when a substitute gets man of the match but he deserved with that display as he gave the believe that we would score more goals’.

‘Today we deserved something from the game which I believe has also been the case from the other matches before this and I know we are a side who are capable of winning close games which of late have gone against us.

‘We have just beaten a very good team who were in the Premiership last season scoring three goals against them to give an enjoyable feel to the supporters where other days this season they have been frustrated.

‘We’re pleased we have got three points and put on a bit of a show whilst giving a committed performance in a tough game’.
