Ready To Return

Mile Jedinak is ready to make his Palace return and hopes that he’ll be given the chance to do so against Arsenal at Selhurst as we complete a trio, Newcastle and Liverpool before this, of home games this weekend.

Those previous two games ended in a Premier League draw with Newcastle and an FA Cup defeat to Liverpool, sadly both courting controversy due to ‘missile throwing incidents’ being reported, so can we make it ‘third time lucky’ against Arsenal?

Jedinak is hopeful that we can and has spoken about how impressed he’s been by the form shown under Alan Pardew but with everyone stepping up our captains chances of getting back in, having not played since his triumphant return from the Asian Cup with Australia due to injury, aren’t straightforward….

He doesn’t enjoy watching, no footballers does, but with him ready for action he’s told Sky Sports that he’s targeting Saturday for his comeback.

‘We’ll just have to wait and see if I play against Arsenal, but at this stage it is going really well.

‘I’m not the best of watchers. When you have to go to a game and watch your team, I’m not the best at that, but it is what it is.’

As you do though he’s been there to support his teammates and enjoy the ‘buzz around’ then club but he’s ‘itching to get back out there and be involved in that first hand.’

With Jedinak that important to us if he’s fully fit I’d expect to see his name on the teamsheet at the weekend….
