On Sky

Crystal Palace’s Premier League season continues, as Palace round off the return to Premier League action after the international break, against struggling Sunderland at Selhurst Park on Monday; with this an 8pm kick-off for the live Sky Sports game.

Sunderland might, as I say, be ‘struggling’ but no one will be taking anything for granted, counting any chickens, or whatever way you want to put it ahead of this one.

Crystal Palace Team News:

Pardew will be missing Dwight Gayle (hamstring) once again but the expectancy is the striker shouldn’t be out for too much longer.

Marouane Chamakh (hamstring) is also still on the sidelines as is Kwesi Appiah, not that his involvement would have been that likely!

Player to watch: Conor Wickham

Sunderland Team News:

Sunderland should have Lee Cattermole (groin) back with Sam Allardyce reportedly having a near clean bill of health now that John O’Shea (hamstring) is also back having return from injury for the Republic of Ireland during the international break.

Player to watch: Steven Fletcher

Match Facts & Stats

Palace will be keen to avenge the defeat suffered at Selhurst Park last season, that win was Sunderland’s first at Selhurst in almost 20-years, the Eagles aren’t going to want lightening to strike twice!

The home forms not been bad, however after the best start to a Premier League season (from this number of games so far) who knows what this season could bring if Palace can retain this form and really hit top gear at home….with six of the last 10-matches at home lost.
