It’s probably not too much of a surprise in some ways but Neil Warnock’s second spell as Palace manager is over with his sacking confirmed today.

His sacking makes him the first managerial casualty in the Premier League this season.

Warnock returned for his second spell as Palace manager in August but with the pressure growing on him as we made it six without a win on Boxing Day after the three-one defeat to Southampton it was anticipated that his future was in the balance.

It wasn’t thought that a decision to sack him or not would be made until after our crucial meeting with QPR on Sunday though but Steve Parish has ran out of patience and wields the axe with immediate effect!

Keith Millen will once again take caretaker charge of Palace and will lead us against QPR tomorrow but the next permanent appointment is something that we’re thought to want ‘as soon as possible.’

Sadly a bloke who wears his heart on his sleeve and was on a hiding to nothing from the off. Sacked before the transfer window opens allowing the new manager an opportunity buy a couple of players in before taking on the relegation battle.
