Ian Holloway says he won’t get carried away following our loss to Crawley, but he can’t hide his disappointment at the performance, even if it is about fitness at this stage.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC after the match, he commented.

‘These games for us at this stage of our build up are a training session but it was one that left me very disappointed in respect of our performance and was not typical of a Crystal Palace team that goes out to represent this club. They are well ahead of us in pre season preparation as their season starts next week and it looked that way.’

Holloway says one of the biggest disappointments from the game was our failure to take the chances we did create, because he knows that going to be key for us next season so it sounds very much like he’ll be bringing in another striker if not a couple having lost Glenn Murray to injury.
