Holloway Draws A Line Under Poogate

We’ve all known about the reports and to be honest I wasn’t quite sure what to write about it, but thankfully Ian Holloway has made that easy today.

Speaking to London24 about the incident, Holloway thanked whoever did it for making it the easiest pre match team talk of his managerial career.

‘I have to thank that person for doing me the biggest favour. I didn’t have to get the players up at all, in fact I had to calm them down. I’ve never seen a look like that on Wilf’s face. So how stupid is that person? He got Palace to play like that. How low will some people go?’

Palace have received a formal apology from Brighton, and he adds he has no ill will to them or Gus Poyet as he believes they acted and responded as best they could given the circumstances and he fully believes the only person to take any blame is the individual or individuals involved in the act itself, Holloway doesn’t want it to have any effect on Brighton as a club.

Just bizarre. You think you’ve heard it all in football and then we have a week like this when it comes to ‘pranks’.

Lets hope Palace find wall to wall PASTA in their Wembley dressing room to provide another unintentional team talk!
