Defender Peter Ramage has said the noise the Eagles fans made against Watford was the perfect spur for the team.
Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser Ramage said the support from the fans was the perfect lift after going two goals down, and he believes it was unfortunate we couldn’t get the third.
‘The fans were brilliant and they gave us the impetus to go and get the second and third. I kept getting the jumps when all the bangers were going off but it made it a good atmosphere and it added to the game. It gave us a lift, even though we weren’t going them much to sing about but they were still with us and they drove us on.’
Ramage adds that he believes we more than deserved to win the game going off our second half performance, although he admits in the first half we weren’t at the races.
He was also full of praise for Jonny Williams, saying he feels that if he’d have been available for more of the season, he thinks Palace would be sitting higher in the league.
